About GaSP
ALIA Government and Special Libraries Sector Committee
The Government and Special Libraries Sector Committee is available for all information professionals working in a government or special library of any type.
This covers libraries in a large range of organisations including both Commonwealth and State government, law, corporate, arts, community research, and not for profit.

ALIA GaSP Committee definition of a government or special library
A government or special library is a library that provides specialised information resources on a particular subject, serves a specialised and limited clientele, and delivers specialised services to that clientele. Special library professionals manage information and/or knowledge resources for the organisations for whom they work, and their stakeholders; including business executives, government departments and agencies, association members, non-profit funders and lawyers.
